Looks like an 18,000.00 sapphire. Gorgeous, tanzanite, old mine material, violet - blue with hint of violet, occasional red flashes. Cushion cut with precision faceting. Old material, mined and cut over a decade ago in the D-Block mine. This is top tanzanite not overly dark and not washed out coloring of many modern tanzanite ( Zoisite ).

Many later pieces were overly dark or washed out but this is a velvety violet- blue with just the right amount of a violet hue. I assure you this is the Tanzanite quality both jewelers and collectors seek.
